“Jim Valvano “Kid’s Klassic Golf Tournament Celebrates 25 Years”
Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center located in Durham, North Carolina, is internationally known for providing the expertise care to children that have been diagnosed with cancer.
The 25th Annual Jim Valvano Kids Klassic was held on July 9-10, 2010. This event was an entertaining weekend that benefitted the pediatric cancer research, patient support and education at Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center. In its 25 year history, this event has raised nearly $3 million!!
The pediatric programs depend largely on the generosity of partners and sponsors to remain at the top of the field. With the rapid changes in today’s health care industry and mounting pressures to find a cure, the need for funding from successful events is more urgent than ever.
Since 1993, Yonkers Industries has been a proud sponsor of the Jimmy V’s Kid’s Klassic Golf Tournament!

"Toast of the Triangle - Toasts 25th Anniversary" NCSU McKimmon Center, Raleigh, NC
Last year's event raised over $191,000 for the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation. This year's event will prove to be larger and even more delicious, with over 40 of the Triangle area's finest restaurants and caterers joining together in a culinary extravaganza.
Yonkers Industries has been a proud sponsor of this event for the past 20 years, celebrating local culinary talents that benefits a worthwhile cause, helping children and adults with special needs.
“Samaritan's Purse”
In response to a growing concern for the children in Haiti, Yonkers Industries recently made a generous contribution to Samaritan's Purse. Samaritan's Purse is an emergency relief program that provides assistance to victims of natural disaster, war, disease, and famine.
Samaritan's Purse rushed blanets, hygiene kits, shelter materials, and more than 14 tons of emergency food to dozens of children's homes in Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas.Rubble removal is the first step toward reclaiming Port-au-Prince and surrounding towns that were devastated by the January 12th earthquake. Samaritan's Purse is concentrating on clearing debris from hospitals, clinics, schools, churches and other facilities.Samaritan's Purse is also providing thousands of families with emergency shelter materials until homes can be repaired or rebuilt. They will continue to provide support for orphanages and children's homes in Haiti as the country struggles to recover and rebuild.
